Standard Mortal Creation:
Initial Points: Attributes 6/4/3, Abilities 11/7/4, Backgrounds 5, Virtues 7, Freebies 21.
Characters start with 21 Freebie points, no ABILITY may be over 3 dots before Freebie stage. An additional 7 Freebies can be gained if you take 7 pts of Flaws. See allowed Merits and allowed Flaws. We use the Revised edition format for character creation. An additional 7 pts of flaws may be taken for a possible total of 28 freebies. Use common sense here, some vampire flaws are acceptable, but some are obviously not appropriate for a mortal character. In addition, a mortal character may choose from the list below.
Numina: Initial numina cost is 7 freebies for one phenemonen, additional phenomen costs 14 freebies. To raise numina, it is 7x level in xp. Some numina (like Faith) is very difficult to raise and requires RP and ST discretion
Secondary Skills/Talents/Knowledges: Have variable Costs. See Secondaries
Specialties: Any ability or attribute that has 4 or more dots may have a specialty, a specific focus. Specialties can be found in the books under the main trait. If you have a specialty in a trait, you may reroll 10's on dice rolls. Be sure to include your specialties (in parethesis next to the trait) before submitting your character sheeet.
Backgrounds: Dots in Contacts and Allies may afford a character access to supplies and information. Allies and contacts should be clearly written at the bottom of the character text sheet and are subject to StoryTeller approval. Fame, Arcane, and Influence are limited to 3 dots at character creation.
